Yeah, I had the streaming video on for a few hours, and around 9 pm or so I was watching the people finish. I saw many dads come running in with their kids- and I can't lie, I got a little teary eyed. Just thinking about how this race is the culmination of so many hours of training is just unbelievable. I'm already thinking about a 1/2 IM somewhere down the road. Thanks for the inspiration guys!

My friend came in 4 minutes after Joe Moya. For someone who was going to do a planned DNF after the bike, she pulled it out anyway. That rocks.

For our newly minted Ironmen, in addition to an M-Dot tattoo, take a look at these:

Congratulations to all the finishers!!!!

TOM, PHIL AND JOE - YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!!Great work, you guys are an inspiration to all of us. As I was doing my 12 mile bike and 5 mile run brick yesterday, I could not help but be humbled knowing that you guys were doing a bike ride 10 times as long, and a run that was five times as long as my little brick.Congratulations (and massages) are in order for all three of you.Dennis

Way to go guys!!!

That was truely an awe inspiring thing to watch.  I still can't believe that thousands and thousands people actually complete a race like this every year....it still seems CRAZY to me!

You guys did increadibly great!  What a rush it must have been for all BTers participating.

Nice job....EXCELLENT job.  You should be proud of your training committment and accomplisment today.

Chris, thanks for the link.  If and when I finish one of the IM's, I will definitely put in my order for the submarine Sub-17 shirt.  That is very cool.
