  • Comments: Great race! The Saturday drop off is a major pain, but I understand why they do it - they didn't last year and it was a disaster. They had to hold up the start because so many people couldn't get into the park and the parking lots although they arrived plenty early. The traffic issue inside the park needs work, but otherwise a well run and fun race.

  • Comments: Great race for beginners and a benchmark from year to year. I don't know if I will include this on my schedule next year.. The bike drop.. Big minus. I also think it is getting too big. Really crowded on the bike. My buddy got squeezed on a traffic circle on the bike and crashed/broke his collar bone. tough way to end the season. I felt really bad for him. Just too many people not paying attention on the course!!

  • Comments: This was a fun race. I went for a quick dip in the lake and then sat back while my teammates won the race for us.

  • Comments: I won't rate this race the best because of the day before mandatory bike check-in. The PTC sprint tri is still the best in Georgia.

  • Comments: This was my second triathlon and a PR for me. I didn't properly or adequately train for my first one. I took a completely different approach with this one and trained like a real triathlete. I am very happy with all the progress I made and still continue to make. Although I expressed some displeasure above with my splits it is only because I felt like I could have done each individual event better. But I know it isn't always possible when having to string all three together and that's part of the challenge. I had a great time preparing for this race and an even better time finishing it. I see this as something I want to continue doing for a long time. Thank you for everyone who helped make my victory possible!

  • Comments: This sets my 1 year doing tri's. I started with this race last year on a 20+ year old mountain bike and came in with a 1:32. I knocked off over 23 minutes in one year of training ... next year will be tougher to improve again

  • Comments: Post race was really good. Lots of people still around, probably b/c they wouldn't let you back in transition. The massage/sports medicine groups giving free post race massages/stretch outs were nice. It was a good race. The hill after the swim was brutal. I'll be back next year.

  • Comments: Liked that they had a nice spread after the event. Think it may have been inspired by the irongirl. Pizza, fruit, crackers, soda, smoothies, water, etc.

  • Comments: All in all a great day. I wasn't expecting to set any records, but I feel like I accomplished something incredible and I'm only motivated to get better. After all, I can't get much worse! For a 270+ clyde, I'm just stoked that I finished this thing without dying. Training for this race has really given a purpose to my workouts, and I hope to make it through the winter months in better shape to actually "Race" a few Tri's in the spring! For me, 649th>DFL>DNF>DNS!

  • Comments: I love this sport! Soccer has been in my blood for 20 years but being married with 2 children has squeezed the "soccer margin" out of life's schedule. I played soccer at Auburn and the Silverbacks Amateur League until 2006 and REALLY miss it. Finding TRI has been a true JOY. This sport has an amazing blend of PERSONAL drive and COMMUNITY emphasis. One can be as "public" or "private" as one wishes. The people are supportive, helpful and encouraging across the board. I look forward to many, many years of learning this sport and seeing the truly amazing landscapes many of the races are held in. Grace and Peace. Bill

  • Comments: I had a good time as usual. I hung out with a lot of friend that I have made over the last couple of years. We had a great time. That is why I do these races. That and to give me something to keep me working out and in shape. I am satisfied with my progress since my main goal is to get in shape. Over the last couple of years, I have progressively gotten in better and better shape. I started working on swimming, then biking, and now I have started on running. I really only started running about March of this year except for doing triathlons. I am going to start trying to get a little better at each thing slowly now. This is my last race of the year. I have had a lot of good times with some great people while I have progressively gotten in better shape. The thing that I am most proud of for this year is lowering my cholesterol from 236 to 177. The doctor did not think that I could do it without drugs, but I did. Good health and good times are what the sport of triathlons is to

  • Comments: GREAT GREAT GREAT race. It was my first, so I don't have anything to compare it to but I was MORE than impressed with how well everything was organized. I can't give the organizers more praise. The only knock was not starting on time. I felt very safe the entire time - they said the course was open to traffic but I didn't get passed by a car the entire time. Thank you so much Jim Rainey and Georgia Multisports Productions.

  • Comments: Great race. I think that last year there were 500 people racing and this year was 800 scheduled. I think that they could make it a 1,000 race and be fine. I really like the set up and quality of EP and will definitely do it again next year. Quality race for beginners and those of us who have been around a little longer. The only thing that I hated was that Brian (Coldfire) wasn't able to make it. After his 5 H 21 M HIM I wanted to see what he could do on a Sprint...that would have been something. Oh well next year's not so far off!

  • Comments: Overall I'm pleased. I've been steadily getting faster each year (Over 3 minutes this year) and hopefully next year will be well below 1:10. Great Race! I love this sport.

  • Comments: Well, last Triathlon of 2007 - I'm hooked! This winter I'm planning on strength training more to build my power and loose some more weight. I also hope to finish the ING Atlanta Marathon in March 2008. We'll see how much training I can get in with the new baby. I hope to finish higher in this age group next year.

  • Comments: This was a great race for my. Just last weekend I did the Georgia State Time Trial and got third so I'm ending the season on a high note. I was able to do a strong race and still have enough energy to thank the volunteers I saw.
