In general I like the new format except for the friends list. I think the friends list and the ability to go see what your friends are doing and "talk" to them thru the inspires is one of the best parts of BT. You really need to make the friends list so you can click on the picture and be brought directly to your friends log again. its a pain to click on it then have to scroll back up to the top of the list of friends in order to be able to click somewhere else to be brought to your friends blog. This is one of the strengths of BT and what makes it really special. Also did chat go away? Overall well done ROn

OK the friends list thinig needs to be fixed....now that i am trying to give friends inspires it is a total PITA!. Please bring the easy friends list back. Even if you sort them every time tyou go back ot the list its back the same way and more clicks....too hard. No one will use the feature anymore which would be a huge shame

I agree - this is what really makes BT a 'community' - the friends we make here and inspire daily...

Once I FOUND the friends list, I keep clicking on their pictures and sitting there waiting for the logs to appear, then 'oh yeah, have to scroll back up and then click on Training Log and THEN can get to them'

Is there any way to make the pics link directly to the training logs?

I do like how you sort of brought the whole look and feel into the 21st century!

I agree with both posters above....on my screen I couldn't even see the friend show up in upper corner.

PS adjust the colors as there is to much white and g.lare ....annoys my eyes

Totally agree. Adding MORE clicks is such a deterrent.
In the past if I was in my training log I clicked once to get to a friend. Now it's 3x. per friend

Yes I have no idea how to inspire anyone anymore.  I am so sad after 10 years on BT....inspire is very important.  This has to be as easy as before.  No one has time to futz around.  Thanks

I agree, the way that friend pages and the inspires come up is not user friendly, rather time consuming. Inspires are one of the best features of BT and the way we have them currently makes them really unfriendly.
I like the suggestion that clicking the picture would take us to the blog as opposed to having to travel back up to the top of the page. Once you get halfway down a page of friends that adds a whole lot of scrolling and clicking.

I'm still looking for the friends list!!!

Community->Friends That part I don't mind, although not as great as being right there on the log, but agree with everyone else about it being a pain to get to anyone's logs. too much scrolling and clicking

I agree that you somehow have to tie the avatar to going straight to the persons log. Perhaps a link underneath? So - clicking on the avatar brings up info about your friend on the right side and clicking the link underneath goes to their log? scrolling back to the top is a PITA.

Yes, please bring our friends list back to our main training log page! This is what keeps me on BT. I don't have time to navigate through other tabs to see what my friends are up to or leave inspires. I loved having "one click" access to my friends and also being able to see their friends too!

Thanks for your hard work on the site. It does look great!

I like this idea...a link underneath or similar...maybe a different color or font so not to confuse with the new username link function.

I agree with everyone above - the new site looks great ( seriously - love the new look and the layout, much more modern), but I've been here since 2004 and it's the friends functionality that keeps me here! I don't want to have to click three times to get to a friend's page. And although i agree that it would be better to have the avatar click go straight through to their page, I still think that's a lot of work because I have to go to the friends page to do that. I preferred having them right on the training log so I just could just click through from friend to friend when I was seeing what everyone else is up to ( i.e. if I visit friend 1 and want to then visit friend 2 who friend 1 is also friends with, it's always been easy to just click through to friend 2 from friend 1's friend list. Now I have to go back to MY friends list every time I want to find someone, which is pretty cumbersome). Thanks for all your hard work!

I agree 100%. I do much of my BT-ing at work and I don't have time for extra clicks, extra screens, and extra navigation. This needs to be intuitive and more convenient, not cumbersome and less convenient.

Overall, the new look is much slicker... however, the extra clicks and the confusing navigation will deter people from even bothering to use the training logs and ultimately destroy the community we've worked so hard to create.

Oh Boy. I just tried this again... and yes... I guess I didn't realize that clicking on a friend didn't take you directly to their log. It brings up their profile photo and you have to click on the link again. This is bad. This is really bad. I honestly thought originally that the link was broken... This needs to be easier and faster. And maybe put the friends list back on the log page... much of my BT navigation includes going to friend's logs and clicking thru their friends to get to THEIR logs. Easy to do when a friends list is right on the same page as the log. Difficult to do (especially at work!) when there's layers of clicking involved.

How do you feel about a direct link under their avatar per StartingtoTri above?

A link under the avatar would be an improvement but the old way is really better. If I were new on the site I would have no idea how to figure out how to do inspires and I really like being able to get to a mutual friends page if I am on someone elses blog. I agree with Whizzzzzz

The older way is much easier to navigate. Is there anyway that you could put it back into the old format?

Maybe have the link within the friend's photo take you to the friend's blog page... then once there, you can check their race log, or do any of the other options that are available through that first click now... you know?

What perplexes me is... let's say I go to Socks' page... and I want to inspire a friend of hers that I haven't added to my own friends list... how do I find her friends, so I can click through? A LOT of clicking through other people's blogs happens around BT.

It has been a bucket list item for years...something to do before I'm 25. Okay, maybe I'll push that to 30. Okay, maybe I'll let it go altogether.
