Ann-Marie feel better, I don't want to virtually ride alone too. This was my chance to pretend ride with real friends.

Seriously, Janyne, you do iron distance races/training and have never had "swollen toenails"?? We need to talk about shoes or something! What about blood blisters underneath the nails? Or does that only happen to me for some reason?!

Anyway, hope you are feeling better soon, Hands. Strep sucks--had it several times as it seems to be a favorite "gift" from students to teachers. Yuck.

Stage 1 is down 8 more to go. Tomorrow's stage is going to be brutal. Time trial followed by sprints

Stage 2 in the books. I am not a sprinter. It does not matter if it is on foot, on the bike or in the pool. Ok in the pool I don't think there is a difference between my sprint and my walk(?) except my sprint looks like I'm drowning in faster motion. My swim speed remains the same.

Same here. I cannot sprint to save my life, in any sport. I just kind of keep going. I'm not a "bad" swimmer-- 1:10 for an IM swim and 33-34 minutes for HIM is pretty solid for my age group and often puts me in the top three out of the water--but I suspect a lot of seven or eight year olds could beat me at 25-50 yards/meters.

Ive been able to do both stages so far too, but I’m doing them at 60-75% intensity. Are you doing the nuclear option?

Good news for you northern hemisphere Manatees - the daylight is headed your way. I had to get my head torch out for my run this morning.

I see that today is National Homemade Soup Day. I guess there's a commemorative day for everything now. But homemade soup would seem be great for cold/flu/strep!

I saw firsthand the effects of a big dinner. i did my weigh in for JoGo and was up. But we went for a steak dinner on Sunday night. This morning, with things cleared out (ahem) and i am where i should be. Ah well. Makes for more dramatic change next Monday.

Also, sorry to hear about sick Manatees - feel better! Winter can be a tough time for these things, in particular.

That's why I do my "official" weigh-ins on Fridays! I've been weighing-in with 2 other BTers (my sister being one of them) every Friday for the past 6 years  through private messages. Intentionally set Friday as the day to help mentally. That way you can still let a little loose on the weekend but have all week to make up for it. All though in IM training, I was always at my lowest on Sunday nights after a long ride and long run. It all evens out I suppose!

Facebook ads always get me. Not that I run out and buy whatever they are pushing in my face but I end up googling the item and reading about it etc.

SO today this caught my eye:
https://wiivv.com/

anyone try it? Lots of positive reviews in google land. There are a few negatives on their FB page but they seem very responsive in answering those and offering to help.

Maybe it's a solution looking for a problem.....or maybe it's the end of my tendinitis issues?!

I get sucked into looking at FB ads too! But since FB and google track everything we do, it's no wonder the ads suck us in! I don't know anything about these sandals though.

I'm trying really hard to not Facebook. It's just a time sync for me and I don't get a lot of good out of it. It would be really difficult to get off because some of my real-life clubs post everything there.
