  • Comments: One of my favorite races, if not my number one favorite. Tons of people, flat course, very well organized. I actually enjoy the train ride and all of the mayhem associated with it. I think it adds to the excitement of the race.

  • Comments: I think it may be getting a little too large. This was the 1st year that is seemed to be a little un-organized (Race expo, packet pick-up, finish line refreshment lines, shuttles, etc). Just mad chaos. Especially with the rain.

  • Comments: This is a BIG race. But at least from my position (admiteddly, fairly far 'up' among the throngs), it seemed very well run. Even on a cool and damp day, the crowds were pretty enthusiastic. On a nice day, I imagine it would be a blast--especially in S. Philly.

  • Comments: Over 23,000 finishers this year compared to around 19,000 last year, so this thing just keeps getting bigger. It's an awesome experience, though, and a heck of a lot of fun. I'd like to continue doing it.

  • Comments: This race keeps getting bigger every year. There were too many people at the start and at the finish. The food area was a mess and they ran out of It is a great race and I'll still do it again.

  • Comments: There was a perfect amount of drink stations. The Broad St run is almost an institution in Philly - so all sorts of organizations show up to play music, hand out water, cheer.... it was a great experience for me. I'd definitely do it again, as long as I was feeling good about my ability to finish the entire course again.

  • Comments: This was a great race I will do again. It was on time, had lots of volunteers, was a great course and had good post-race food bags. Cons were the picking up of the food bags was a total CF. No one knew what was going on and it was very unorganized. They also need more port-o-potties. We were somewhat spoiled as we had a bus to drop us of and pick us up so I can't give feedback on the transportation provided by the race.

  • Comments: this is an awesome race. it helped that we had our own transportation and didn't have to take their shuttle, but it was organized, had a great course, and a fun atmosphere. as with all races, get there early if you need the port-o-jon, but i would definitely do the race again.

  • Comments: They really messed up the trains to the start. Heard there were thousands who missed the actual start because the trains were all locals, stopping at every station along the way. In the past they have had express trains, but not sure why they didn't this year. I know someone who crossed the start line 8-10 mins after the start and he said there were tons of people behind him. That's a big problem.

  • Comments: Taking the train there and back was a pain in the ass because of the crowd and no train from Lansdale. Next time I'd prefer to drive to Fern Rock and have someone with me to talk to during the ride and possibly the race. The race itself was fun but the travel to and from made me think it might not be worth it.

  • Comments: This was my first Broad St Run and my first ten miler. I really enjoyed it! It's long enough to make it worth spending my morning doing it but short enough that I really didn't need to prepare in any special way.

  • Comments: Bad: All the logistics about this race were a pain. The last 1mi off the highway took ~20min. P-to-P meant parking at the finish and taking the subway to the start. Subways were packed...and I am sure a ton of ppl didn't get to the start on time. Overall just a PITA! Good: I was so bitter before the race started that I was already thinking how I was goign to rip it on BT. Turns out, for as bad as the logistics were, the race was that much better. There were fans the whole way...granted I question the parents who let their 8-12yr old girls do booty dances for support, but they were good supporters nonetheless. Plenty of cowbells, a cpl radio stations were broadcasting, guys with bongo drums, one or two bands...and of course a little Rocky theme music near the end. I didn't use any of the water stations, but there were tons (at least 6) and they were long. Definitely enjoyed this race more than the National Half Marathon and Cherry Blossom.   • Comments: Tons of volunteers, very well organized, plenty of water & gatorade -stations - although I didn't need them. Had about 4 places in the course where fire hydrant was spraying the course... could've used without that in the first half of the race because it was too cold, and caused congestion and jumping out of the water's way. Wind was in your face only for about 2 blocks.... rest of time was slight-cross and mostly tail-wind.
