My engagement!

OK, since max called me on this:Lynn and I had a discussion over the past week about what we were hoping for, where things are headed, etc. I see things in black and white. Gray areas confuse me. In an effort to get past some small 'barriers', I asked her if she wanted to be my wife this past Saturday, and she refused to answer, and even tried to cover my mouth with her hand (and I, being the smart @$$ that I am, promptly licked).Sunday, while I was cleaning the house in preparation of guests for my turkey dinner tomorrow (yes, I cook, too!), Lynn called and said she had something 'urgent' to talk to me about. Of course, I started feeling agitated; I was trying to clean, run errands, and generally make things 'perfect' for tomorrow. Lynn came up, got down on one knee, but a 1 1/2" nut on my finger, and asked me to marry her. She had purchased the nut at the local hardware store, and had it engraved! Now, I LOVE the hardware store! Remember the show Home Improvement? Think Tim Taylor, with 1/2 the accidents, and who does triathlons - that's me! Of course, I accepted.Lynn did two tris last year, but she doesn't much like the biking part, so we'll trade support-duty. I'll support her 1/2 marathon & marathon dreams, and she can follow up on my tri-races.
