I was thinking about signing up for IM CDA.

Travel expenses and lack of free IM registration money killed that plan (plus Ninja didn't like it).  I figure something like IM CDA is $5k to $6k (with the family, flights, bike shipping, etc.)  IM Utah and IM LP are probably up there.  At the other end from Atlanta are IM Lou and IM FL which are probably in the $1500 range when it is all said and done.

I know Rell and Madden are signed up for IM CDA.  My neighbor and several other locals are signed up for IM Utah.

I know Cornelius is thinking about IM Lou.

Kirk Blackmon signed up for IM Swiss I believe.

Who else?

I thought Kirk was doing Germany?

Doug and I have been mulling the idea of IM FLA or B2B.  No way could I do IM Lou - working in an office all day kills my heat tolerance.

I will probably fight the urge to sign up for Lou in a few weeks.  I told myself 2 years with no IM but I really miss the long training.

I'm signing up for IMFL for 2010, baby, but B2B might be another option, especially if IMFL sells out before I can register.

Short stuff hurts much, much more ... that said, though, I think you might have some selective memory working here.  Remember back-to-back 5 hour rides, each followed by having your seat surgically removed from your arse so that you could do a t-run? A dishwasher so crowded with bottles that you had to handwash your dinner dishes? Looking for a shopping cart at Performance Bike to load up your nutrition ... for the week?

Since your memory is faulty, come back to CdA and do it with me next year ... it would almost be like doing the course for the first time

Thinking about IMFL for next year.  Just not sure I can fit in the training with the job, although if I sign up, I guess I'll just have to figure it out

Been there, done that.  As J22 said, the cost is too high. I would rather go somewhere a bit more exotic for that price tag.  I just can't imagine training long through the winter...grrr.

And I prefer back to back 5 hour rides to 3x30 at .85 of FTP.  That sucks!!  Give me long z2/z3 ANY day of the week.

I will be signing up for IM AZ this year (for 2010). I have to decide between going out there to volunteer, or trying to sign up online and submitting a charity slot if that fails. I think the expense would be about the same :-)

The plan was to do IMLP next year but financially it is not in the cards right now.  If I can register for IM Florida online I might do that, otherwise I'll be at Beach to Battleship.

I'm planning on the full at B2B next year - Good to see I may have some company. I love the nature of full IM racing, where you have to start making plans a year in advance. The rest of my life is nowhere near that organized!

LMAO!!

Someone might be toying with the idea of IM Cozumel for 2010...or maybe 2011.  It's not me, btw.

I'm signed up for CDA next year, so I'll be doing winter training starting in January. Sharing a house with some friends, so it's like $900 for hubby and I for the week.  Flights around $400 apiece, TriBike Transport somewhere around $300.  So yah, we'll end up around $3K-$4K I'm sure once you factor in rental car, cooking/meals, etc...

Don't fall for that trap.  Some of us might be toying with the idea of Cancun for Spring Break in 2010.

I'm in for IM CDA next year.  I'm also doing Cozumel this November.  Just comparing the 2, Cozumel is going to be cheaper than CDA!  I think the biggest difference is lodging- you can get some really good deals for Cozumel- CDA...notsomuch.

I'm looking at going back to Madison for Moo 2.

Otherwise, Thinking the Rev3 full distance at Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio, or the B2B full in North Carolina.

i'm planning on going to moo too.  or at least, hoping to be able to register for it...free lodging with old college roommate always makes it a little more appealing.

Rev3 is an interesting option.  It's the first year of the event, but Rev3 is getting a very good reputation for doing it right.  Cedar Point would be a great place to take the family also.
