I am training for Ironman Wisconsin. I ran a marathon Saturday so my taper = reduced bike miles. That said here is my April Ironman training totals. Interested to see others spring workloads + what "A" race your training for.

Swimming = 19314 yards
Running = 119 miles
cycling = 383 miles mixed outdoor & trainer

Swim: 4h 43m - 15400.00yds
Bike: 31h 16m 04s - 586.00 Mi
Run: 6h 26m 29s - 47.54 Mi

Did a 380 mile ride a couple of weeks ago, so it was a bike-heavy, then recovery sort of time.

Moving more towards swim/bike this month, "A" race(s) are a series of four Internationals in June-Sept. (Same course each time, 0.5-20-6.2)

My times are more accurate than distance as I don't always put in mileage.  My "A" race would be IM St. George on Saturday!

Pretty dismal month here fighting a bunch of small nagging injuries Severe Calf strain, Mild back strain, and some very crappy weather as a result

  • Bike: 35 miles 2:42 hrs
    Run 8.8 miles 1:24 hrs
    swim 10 miles 6:15 hrs
    Strength 2:45

Total 0 activity rest days for the Month 12 days , 3 times normal .

No Races on tap as of yet this year. Working goal this year is to get both my shelties to the Canadian National Agility Championships in august I might squeeze in a sprint or 2 if I can find something that fits the schedule, but the pooches have the priority this year.

    Swim: 21 hrs 26 min
Bike: 4 hrs 5 min (all indoors.....going outdoors starts after work if this rain stops)
    Run: 5 hrs 20 min
Strength: 2 hrs 47 min (per a Trainer, Rule #1 in triathlon training is ya' gotta' do Strength Training)
Ski ascents: 10 hrs 36 min (putting skins on Randonee' ski gear and going uphil; time does not include descents)
Other: 1 hr 52 min (mostly Boxing; hiking and backcountry ski patrolling not included)

My "A" Race will be the Timberman 70.3 in New Hampshire in mid-August. My "B" Race will be the Ashland Olympic in mid-June in Massachusetts. Plus I gotta' stay in shape to do the things I'm even more passionate about: skiing, climbing, hiking, whitewater kayaking and beer drinking.

A race is IMTX in less than 3 weeks! Therefore April was a pretty high volume month. Starting to reduce volume this week and taper after the weekend.

    Swim: 13h 31m 13s - 41900 Yd
    Bike: 41h 58m 41s - 838.82 Mi
    Run: 27h 21m 55s - 200.36 Mi

    Great job everybody!!

Not a spectacular month for me but solid. Need to swim more but had a lot of work issues last month that got in the way.

A race will be IMMT in August

I did have my first HM of the season and wanted to set a PR and did by 24 minutes and ran a 1:57:59 so looks like IM training is paying off

    Swim: 15,750 yards, 3:52:50
Bike: 10:37:20 (all trainer. missed my goal. was hard to get motivated for trainer workouts this past month)
Run: 109.6 miles, 15:10:35 (personal record for mileage in a single month)

No "A" race this year. Just playing things by ear and taking it easy this year. Got burned out last year training for HIM and gave up too much of my social life, golf, and summer trips to do it.

Pretty good month despite the slightly lower bike mileage compared to last month's. Had 2 tubes go out on me during a long bike and my patch glue kit had almost dried up glue and was unable to patch the patchable one, argh! hehe

Still looking good building up for Vineman 70.3. :D

Not a huge month due to marathon that took time from training, illness, and a week on a cruise ship in the Caribbean.  Hoped to get some OWS in but stinging jellyfish prevented that.  I do not have an A race planned yet.  Lots of B and C races on the schedule.  Would like to cap off the season with an HIM PR but need to decide on a race.

An upper respiratory infection in the middle of the month put a damper on my training.

    Swim: 6 hrs 26 min -- 15,300 yds
    Bike: 10 hrs 25 min -- 168 miles
    Run: 7 hrs 36 min -- 50 miles.

My 'A' race is the DKH Sprint Triathlon on 8/16.
