Here are the rules:

1. Keep it clean

2. It must relate to tri, and or one of the three events.

3. It cannot be in your signature (but feel free to steal from other's signatures)

"If it was easy, they would have called it football." - stated by an elderly Texas triathlete as we talked just after I completed my OWS in Lake Monona a few days before IM WI 2007.

"Sea level is for sissies."  (applicable to tri)

"Train like you race, 'cause you race like you train."  (somewhere/one on BT)

"DFL > DNF > DNS"   (trademarked, fr. BT-er siggy, too)

"Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."   (also from a BT-er siggy)

ALL of these I have used as a mantra in training at some point or other.  :D  Thanks BT!

It is quite possible, Dan, that I am going to steal this quote and maybe take the credit for it.

"Younger, stronger, faster. And I train while you sleep."
-actually from a British rowing shirt, but I like it for tri's

Also from a post a number of years back with some interesting ads that is my wallpaper, it's a picture of a woman on her knees puking and the byline says "In a triathlon, victory and defeat often taste the same." I think it's endurance sports or 3 sport. They had a bunch of great ads.

If you get out first, I will catch you.  If you have the lead, I will pass you.  If we're neck and neck, enjoy the moment.  Because it'll only be a moment.
